Scenic Television started in 2004 (Pre Youtube) as an idea to deliver interesting multimedia content to the world.

The Scenic Television website has provided a previous mix of radio stations, video stations and unique curated content over the years.
Scenic Television made the decision to change formats and provide a dedicated live video stream due to the current music royalty rights compensation demands. The global broadcast consists of Creative Commons licensed nature video and audio.
The idea for Scenic Television was the incarnation of "Slow Television" which is television coverage of an ordinary event in its complete length. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow_television) In lieu of broadcasting entire 6 to 8 hour videos sets, 2 hour blocks were mastered and prepared for transmission from places all around the world that centered around nature.
People have the opportunity to watch / listen to the sights / sounds of nature where ever they are. A mini vacation for the eyes / ears to relax the mind / spirit.
